Hello all, sorry I haven't posted in ages...
People always ask me, "Matt, what's it like working a prestigious, high-power internship at Children's with clinical chemists?" Well, they ask that sometimes. It's aiiiight, I suppose. The project turned out some numbers that I hope will be useful to clinicians as they diagnose pedatric illness. Keep your eyes on Clinica Chimica Acta for "Cortisol, FSH, LH, Growth Hormone, Triiodothyronine, FT3, Estradiol: Pediatric Reference Intervals for the Immulite 1000," by MA Waring et al.
Ask anyone, I'm doing a great job as section leader..."Detail, dammit"s are up 50%, and we're all having fun learning the four P's and one NP: Passion, posture, plyometrics, pecans and NOT PICASSO, sir!
Two more items of interest:
My last 3 books: Moby Dick, The Double Helix, and The Lexus and the Olive Tree. Now reading the 9/11 commission report. I'd advise all you who haven't read Helix yet not to sweat it; it took me all of one day. (Now Moby-Dick was another story.)
Also, Blogger has finally implemented its own comments system. You all may finally comment on my musings, which I hope you will do. I'm sorry I wasn't savvy enuff to make the other ones work. Have at it, everyone.
